MY STYLE ICON- George Cortina

The past few weeks have been mostly about fashionable ladies. thought it was time to recognize men with style.

mr. cortina is a stylist with great style. he is also a fashion director at vogue nippon (japan). chic and modern! classic and cool!

always with shades, always with a cigarette (somehow he makes this look cool), always perfectly dressed and always with his perfect accessory, anna dello russo, the outrageous editor-at-large of vogue nippon . the proportion and fit of his clothing is impeccable. like a modern day cary grant or fred astaire, he carries his clothes beautifully. his sleeves perfectly rolled, his pants the perfect length, his jackets perfectly tailored.

his signatures are double breasted blazers, white jeans, fitted tees, pocket squares, monk straps (usually casually unbuckled) and turtlenecks. funny these are some of my favorite things. and to top it off, he’s a very nice man, always with a smile.

when i grow up i want to dress just like cary, just like fred and exactly like george. chic and modern, classic and cool!
