the end of milan fashion week has come to a close. dsquared and bottega veneta ended the week with a festival of luxury, details, color and fun! what a party!
dean and dan caten, the dynamic twin brothers of dsquared, celebrated the musical festivals that have become such a trend of late. music, beer, dirt, rain and gorgeous young models created the scene.
some of my favorite things rocked the runway; navy blazers, white jeans, grey sweatshirts, chinos and camouflage. not exactly how i’d wear it, but for sure a fun twist on classics. mixed in was fur, plaid, american flags, hippie chic accessories and wellies of course. check out a video of show here. we all want vip passes!
if the dsquared show was a young hippie chic music festival, then bottega veneta’s show was an urban bohemian lux parade. gorgeous clothes with beautiful craftsmanship and details. pleating and texture, along with amazing color swept down the runway. baggy jeans, fringed scarves and flowing gowns stole the show. the final punch was aligator, ostrich and lizard accessories. like always, thomas maier soared in milan.
the back of the runway at dsquared were the words, “we wanted to be the sky”. well the sky had no limits. dsquared provided the music under mr maier’s hot air balloon. you can see the scene, the party and the balloon about to take off.
