so there is a lot going on in miami this week, however, we are gong to table that for a few days and focus on all the fashion, glamour and chic that took place in nyc and london.

some highlights were a few lovely ladies wearing 2012 louis vuitton confection dresses, lots of black everywhere, jumpsuits taking center stage, uptown girl marina all over nyc and my swan the lsd breathtaking in kelly green!

it was a big night in london at the savoy theatre for the british fashion awards. always elegant stelle tennant took home the model of the year award, a surprised victoria beckham won designer brand award and sarah burton, head of design at  alexander mcqueen, collected her well-deserved designer of the year award- pretty much a given if you design the wedding dress of the century!

i’m obsessed with spain right now- dying to go to barcelona and madrid next year, loved the much talked about spanish legend cristobal balenciaga fashion exhibit at the de young museum in san francisco, and who doesn’t love valentino’s spanish muse nati abascal’s, formerly the duchess of feria, sons rafael and luis. everything from spain is gorgeous, sexy and chic!

therefore, it’s no surprise, the highlight in fashion this week for me was the queen sofia’s spanish institute gold medal gala. the queen of spain herself was on hand to present awards to those recognized for their work to improve relations between spain and the united states. the always chic daphne guinness, annette de la renta, nati abscal and beatriz santo domingo were on hand at the glamorous awards gala. the highlight of the evening was the very prestigious la gran cruz de la orden del mérito civil award which was given to my style hero oscar de la renta.
