legendary filmmaker luchino visconti set her movie career in motion with the movie, death in venice. she went on to get a golden globe nomination for her performance in bob fosse’s 1972 production of cabaret. she worked with stanley kubrick’s and ryan o’neal in barry lyndon, miss piggy in the muppet show, and clint eastwood in white hunter black heart. most recently, she starred and captivated the screen in one of my favorite movies of all time, i am love. what i call movie magic!
marisa’s personal life was also legendary. she held court at studio 54 and was a symbolic sex icon of the 70′s. she dated actors terence stamp, sam shepard and kevin kline, musician bryan ferry, surfers, race car drivers, playboys and billionaires. what i call man magic!

one of the greatest beauties of all time. what a stunning and well-curated collection of photographs. well done, mark!
This iS a great entry! I didn’t kNow Marissa before. FUn to learn about her and see her from the studio 54 pictures to the “I am love” press shots.
Where is a still from Barry Lyndon in this fabulous survey? in my opinion, marisa berenson (as lady lyndon) gives us one of the most beautiful faces in the history of cinema, right up there with deneuve. the photo of marisa in a white suit and large white hat (the photographer credited as unknown) in your compilation may be a still from cabaret.
One of my favorite postings. I had forgotten how beautiful she is! Lovely compilation of photos – stunning. As ever, you do such a wonderful job painting a picture for us to more understand the subject.
you happen to be my favorite blogger.!
Mark! UGH! i’ve always worshipped marisa berenson. ever since i saw her bev hills house in ad years and years ago, i think it was in the seventies.
