a few weeks ago i was asked by my new friend paloma contreras to do a guest post on her blog la dolce vita. the guest post was to create my dream home- well it got me thinking, creating, building- dreaming!

well i’m already fortunate to have created my la dream home, see here and here, however, like everyone i dream about other homes, the next home- the location or locations, the different styles, the design- the dream!

as an interior designer i do this everyday for others- the color palette, the theme, the fabrics, the furniture, the antiques, the layering- shopping, researching, convincing- helping create their dream- here’s mine!

actually what i realized is i have several dream homes- here is my dream home in santa barbara! my ranch would be all about casual california living- mostly white, antiques sprinkled throughout, a great balance of traditional and modern, lot’s of windows, lot’s of moldings, and of course all with a guest house, pool house and stables- i dream of horses! understated style, refined elegance, simply sophistication- california chic! the california dream!

more dream homes coming- all in different locations, different styles, different designs! one dream- my dream!
