there are those weeks when everything aligns- my favorite ladies, my favorite subjects, my favorite designers, even my favorite color- a week of favorites!

there were a couple of significant events this past week. for those of you who follow my blog you will know why! lot’s of what i love!

first, the new valentino store officially opened up in Beverly hills this week- my favorite fashion label, two of my favorite designers, many of my favorite ladies- all in valentino! what could be better? not much, however, the store itself, designed by british architect david chipperfield, is absolutely amazing, very significant- you must check it out!

second, claiborne swanson frank’s new book american beauty (i’ve done a few posts on this book, see here and here) launch party, hosted by vogue and tods, brought out lot’s of american beauties, many of my favorites- lauren santo domingo, elletra wiedemann, vanessa traina, lily kwong to name a few.

lastly, i love those weeks when there are new discoveries! this week i introduce to you actress and model sonja kinski, the beautiful daughter of nastassja kinski. this in sonja’s first time on the mark d. sikes best dressed list, deservedly so in the most perfect ivory valentino dress, i predict there will be a few more in the near future!

every week there is one who is crowned best dressed- this week, how appropriate that it is charlotte of monaco, you know she is an absolute favorite, even better, in my favorite color -blue! what a week, a week of chic- all my favorites!
