the cannes film festival actually ends tomorrow, however, here is my official best dressed wrap up! this is part 2, see part 1 from earlier this week here!

besides the movies and the red carpet, the big event of the festivities that last few years has been amfar’s cinema against aids gala- chic people doing good! cocktails, dinner, dancing, a few performances and an auction is usually the standard – but not this year!

post dinner, a runway show featuring the ideal all-black wardrobe ensued- all the top models were there! each piece on the runway had been hand picked by carine roitfeld, one of my favorite women, and were created by all the top design houses, including chanel, balenciaga and christian dior to name a few. the entire runway collection was then auctioned off- again, chic doing good!

to wrap it up- fashion at cannes is always about making a statement- dramatic gowns, couture, sequins, long trains and feathers are the standard- more is more!  however, this week’s best dressed lady is about less is more- a simple black dress! carine and givenchy- the perfect pair!

i always think doing the unexpected is best- always chic! who would think a unadorned black dress would be the best dressed at cannes? so take note- black is always chic, simple is the stand-out in cannes, carine is always the best! that’s a wrap!

not quite yet! carine might have stole the show at the amfar gala, but diane kruger was best dressed for the week- time after time looking brilliant, chic and pretty, especially opening night in the mint green giambattista valli dress- trés belle! ok- now that’s a wrap!
