CHANEL, CARINE AND A FUTURE QUEEN IN MCQUEEN

everyone cool, hip, lovely and chic were at the opening party this week of the little black jacket exhibition in ny celebrating karl lagerfeld’s new book the little black jacket: chanel’s classic revisited! carine “so chic” roitfeld did all the styling for the 113 portraits in the book. chanel and carine, what a chic combination- needless to say, my book is pre-ordered! coming to sunday book club soon!

this is the first week of chic best dressed list in which almost everyone on the list was at the same party. when i went through the process or editing my list the story created itself- lot’s cool and hip ladies, all in black and white, mostly in chanel, all at the same party- loving all the dresses and the hits of black leather! a little edgy, very pretty, also lovely- all so chic!

however, the week of chic best dressed, which i’m certain all of you will agree- a future queen in mcqueen! catherine the duchess of cambridge, in sarah burton of alexander mcqueen, attending the queen’s diamond jubilee festivities! so pretty and modern, beyond lovely- simply chic!
