  2. this post is just wonderrful. mark, i haven’t been subscribing that long and i’m wondering if you’ve ever covered lee mindel, who as well as being an outrageously talented new york architect and designer along with his equally talented partner peter shelton, cuts a very glamorous and attractive figure. i met lee in nyc in the late seventies when he had been of late working for the men’s clothing designer burt pulitzer. it was a perk of the job i guess that he had the biggest pile of oxford cloth shirts that i had ever seen outside of a retail store. every color and stripe! but tragedy struck when he sent a good many of these jewels to the laundry and they came back with the wrong person’s name printed inside the collars. needless to say the young perfectionist was not pleased. any way i soon left ny and have had the great pleasure of following his marvelous career from the wilds of st louis ever since.
