most recently friday favorites have either been a very luxurious accessory, like a chanel classic flap bag or an hermès collier de chien bracelet, or something essential for the home like a blue and white garden stool or something special like a coromandel screen- but today’s friday favorite is a look, a new trend, a classic twist on dressing- most important, this ones for the boys!

a few weeks ago the spring 2013 men’s shows were taking place in europe. everyone was wearing shorts, not a surprise because it is summer, however, the look was shorts with blazers- i guess you could call it a short suit! to be clear, not easy to pull off, but if you can- it’s chic!

not only was this the look on the streets it was also all over the spring 2013 men’s runways- when this happens you know a trend is good and it’s going to stay a while! my favorite men’s collection was junya wantanbe’s- you’ll see why! shorts with blazers- tailored, refined, grown-up, and yes- chic!

short suits, not just for little boys going to church- the boy’s have grown up and shorts with blazers are on the streets, on the runways, the must know trend! short suits- the look of the season (actually, like everything, girl’s can do it too!)! i love a short story!
