STILL KELLY- Kelly Klein

when i was younger i thought when i grew up i’d marry kelly klein– i know that sounds kinda crazy, however i thought if calvin klein could do it, i could do it!

you might ask why? first, i really love her name- kelly klein- it sounds so perfect! and there’s the fact that she’s so pretty, so all-american and i love the constant tan! an absolute natural beauty, she simply belongs on a horse and her style is everything- classic, simple, clean, timeless and of course, chic! some pretty good reasons, a few other issues, however, if i could she would have been the one! my all-american dream wife!

kelly graduated from new york’s fit and worked as a design assistant at ralph lauren before starting to work at calvin klein. in 1986 kelly and calvin’s professional relationship  turned into a marriage. the all- american girl from connecticut became the muse and now the wife to the all-american designer. always an avid equestrian rider, now a photographer, the writer of six coffee table books (pools is a favorite) and most recently a first time mother at the age of 51- kelly has pretty much done it all!

it’s hard to believe she will be 56 this year- time has been good to her, not much has changed! still pretty, still tan, forever classic, so all- american, always chic, and if clearly things were different and i had to have a wife- she’d  still be the dream wife!

  1. Mark,
Love this post. Kelly Klein has always been one of my style idols. She truly exudes the all-American girl vibe. It’s great to see more about her today and that she’s still natural and not botoxed up. Love her!

I recently scored a vintage copy of her “Pools” book too. It’s a fab book.

    Love your blog!
