  • as long as i can remember i’ve always loved polka dots, especially black and white ones. my mother had a beautiful dress i remember well- a full skirt with full sleeves and a fitted bodice white dress with small black polka dots. she always wore it with a wide brimmed black straw hat- so pretty, so elegant, so chic!

    polka dots are always in fashion-celiné, prada, oscar de la renta, ralph lauren, stella mccartney, lanvin, valentino and many, many others have been using this small print in their collections over the last few years- always pretty, always elegant, always chic, always a bit of fun!

    i was out shopping today in nyc and polka dots were all around- the perfect print to transition summer into fall! pretty in the summer, elegant in the fall- chic and fun all year around!  j. crew women’s pre-fall collection has a polka dot theme and guys there are polka dots for you too (however i don’t highly recommend anything with polka dots for guys other than a tie or pocket square), club monaco’s new men’s pre-fall collection has a polka dot shirt, sweater, even a pin-dot suit!

    pretty, elegant and chic- polka dots for everyone! do it! dot it. why not have some fun!

    Nostalgia! Love the dots – great photos – It’s been some time since I’ve had dots in my wardrobe. Think I will be on the hunt for one and of course, it has to be black and white.

    Oh I wish I was young again to wear polka dots..is 45 pushing it!! Probably , I will just buy some great pieces for my teenagers!
