i know it’s been raining the last few days in nyc during the spring 2013 fashion shows, however, i believe tomorrow the forecast is for sunshine!

the nyc fashion shows are starting out strong, really strong! i loved the neutral palette at billy reid of white shirts, military details, fuller skirts and trenches. this theme carried on to the belstaff collection- lot’s of dresses, lot’s of pockets, lot’s of snaps and zippers! both collections had strong military influences and the trench silhouette reined supreme- ahhhh, fitting for the rainy weather!

moving on, there were simple, clean and easy silhouettes at organic by john patrick- all in ivory, navy and black! my color palette of choice! then came the blue shirt brigade at rag & bone and altuzarra which of course i loved! what do you get when you add on a little eyelet, some black leather, a touch of seersucker and a bit of work wear? two of the best spring 2013 shows thus far!

to top it off- those knee-grazing gianvito rossi for altuzarra sandal boots i predict will be the accessory of the season!

thus far a trench and the sandal boot are the trends i’m loving! wrap it around and buckle them up- both perfect, come rain or shine!
