for those of you that follow the blog regularly and follow fashion shows religiously you might have noticed a particular collection absent from my spring 2013 nyfw recaps- why? well some collections stand alone and don’t necessarily fit in with the rest, they don’t follow the trends, they are in and of themselves a story!
then there are places, elegant spaces, in which you feel as if you stepped back in time. great hotels that are timeless and classic- the definition of chic! glamorous places to meet, linger, see and be seen!
when you combine ashley and mark-kate olsen’s the row collection and the carlyle hotel in nyc you have the story! in my humble opinion the best spring collection thus far shown in the most chic place in nyc.
the story of the spring 2013 row collection was one of refined and understated luxury- soft tailoring with Japanese and Indian influences! elegant trenches, trousers, blouses and slip dresses in ivory, camel, beige, red and navy- simple, minimal, pretty and chic! this was the second season in a row in which the row collections were showcased in the glamorous spaces of the Carlyle hotel.
the row at the carlyle- a perfect pairing of old world elegance and modern day refinement! in and of itself a perfect story! enjoy!
