since we are on the subject of style icon carolina herrera i thought why not showcase her manhattan residence and believe it or not i have the november 1999 house & garden magazine (please come back!) in which it is featured- saving all these magazines for the last 20 years has been worth it!
like carolina, her home is elegant, stylish, glamorous and chic (as are her gorgeous daughters)! nothing like 100 yards of red valencay silk and cotton damask from clarence house used on the living room walls, draperies, sofa and chairs- now that’s a statement! that’s chic!
then you have one of my favorite things, blue and white stripes, upholstered on the walls in the sitting room- so pretty! however, my favorite room is the pale blue dining room, italian painted chairs and an 18th – century french table anchor the gorgeous room- simply beautiful!
featuring carolina the last two days is my way of making up for lost time- I still can’t believe that yesterday’s post was my first on her! i guess even more reason to make a statement and nothing makes a statement like red, carolina and blue- chic, pretty and simply beautiful!
