today is a great day, actually this week is going to be a great week! those of you who subscribe to the blog know why, you all got a sneak peek into some of the new and exciting additions to the blog happening this week! now they are here!

first, notice the new bright blue “view archives” link on the right side of the blog, i have to say i’m most excited about this addition to the blog- take a look you will see why! be careful, proceed with caution, 450 posts are at your finger tips!

then tomorrow i’m introducing a new editorial feature called “MDS Interviews”, a questionnaire with some of the interior design and fashion industry’s most talented designers, artists and tastemakers that inspire me and you everyday- you won’t believe the line up!

and last but not least, i finally have launched a Mark D. Sikes tumblr page. i have had so much fun the last few days finding, curating and posting beautiful, inspiring and spontaneous images that i love! another way to share more of my favorite people, places and things!

and to top it off, actually by coincidence, the brand new issue of lonny magazine came out this past weekend featuring our home (take a look at the story here). a few months ago lonny magazine came to our home to shoot a thanksgiving entertaining story and they ended up photographing the whole house. the images are so beautiful i couldn’t help but feature them today on the blog! the lonny team have to be the most talented, generous and kindest people ever! thank you michelle, robert, patrick and kaylei-  thank you for helping me kick off the best week ever!

most of these new features were supposed to coincide with the blogs one  year anniversary a few months ago, however, executing took longer than planned! in hindsight i’m glad it all turned out this way because we get to keep celebrating, and better yet, we get to kick it all off with lonny & me!
