i’m pretty certain steven mcqueen is my personal style icon. how could he not be? so all-american, so handsome! his style was clean and simple, even a bit preppy! any picture or outfit i’ve ever seen him in would look just as relevant and cool today! no trends, no gimmicks- just well dressed and good looking! he is  timeless and classic defined!

i got a new book a few months ago called steve mcqueen- a passion for speed . i love the pictures so much and many i haven’t seen before. most of them of steve with his cars and racing. had no idea when i’d use them. i think now is a good time!

i don’t know about you but the last few weeks and pretty much the whole month of December i have plans every night- parties, book signings, dinners, gift exchanges. that’s what happens with the holidays- i’m trying to enjoy it! throw in decorating, shopping, sending notes and cards, even some traveling-  leaving for nyc sunday.

since i’m running around like a madman maybe a race car is the answer? an early christmas gift! and only if i could look as chic, glamorous and stylish as steven mcqueen all the better! right now i’m in the need for speed! enjoy!
