FUR- ‘TIS THE SEASON

one of my favorite memories of my youth was our yearly family trips to chicago during the holidays to shop. the christmas windows, the snow, the lights and most certainly all the fur coats mesmerized me and to be honest they still do! there was and still is something about a woman in a fur coat- can’t put my finger on it but i think it has something to do with being chic, glamorous and stylish!

i have been on the fence about whether or not i should do a post on fur. it’s such a polarizing issue and i get it! you either love it or hate it, think it’s wrong or right, obsess about it or despise it. the good news is there is real or faux, really good fakes, and depending on your style there is long or short, casual or dressy, dark or light, solid or striped.

i just arrived in nyc and i’m looking forward to shopping, seeing the christmas windows, all the lights, i’m hoping for snow, but i think i will have to settle for rain, and most certainly i can’t wait to see all the ladies in their fur coats!

i love these images of many of my favorite ladies in fur- whether real or faux, wrong or right, no question all are just as i remembered- chic, glamorous and stylish! i hope you enjoy a tribute to one my favorite childhood holiday memories. indulge me- ‘Tis the season!
