this time of year is always about a list- a gift list, a holiday card list, an enormous to do list and of course the inevitable new years resolution list (mine will be long)- how about a stunning list?!

i do best dressed lists each week, favorite books lists, favorite homes and rooms list, favorite designers and favorite things are in many ways lists too. why not a pretty list, better yet, a stunning list!

at first i thought about calling this a most beautiful list, like the ones i remember so well in my mother’s harper’s bazaar magazines. the francesco scavullo photographs, the way bandy makeup, the halston gowns-  elizabeth taylor, isabella rossellini, iman, christina ferrare and katharine ross gracing the list.

with more thought, a most beautiful list seemed, well very 80′s and a bit superficial. beauty is in the eye of the beholder and because i haven’t met many of these women, the term beautiful might not be appropriate. i firmly believe beauty starts from within and how you treat others, how live your life, what you do with your life is the definition of true beauty!

but i can do a stunning list! a list of my favorite women and a celebration of pretty! just when i think  i’ve finished my never ending lists, a new list emerges- a stunning list! enjoy!
