i just got back from my first Rose bowl parade- what a way to start 2013 off! now i’m back home in my grey sweats, yes sweats, about to take a nap, then i’ll tackle thank you notes, watch a few games and make my first 2013 to do list- to be honest i’m really just gonna enjoy the first day of the year at home!

i’m a big fan of grey sweats. right now i have my worn-in grey sweat pants on with a henley and a chunky cashmere cardigan. and if i’m not in grey sweatpants, it’s likely you’ll find me in one of my twenty or so grey sweatshirts. i wear them with chinos or denim, under a military jacket or denim jacket, and yes there may have been a few times when i’ve worn the grey sweatpants with a grey sweatshirt!

i’m planning on spending the day at home but if i had to pick another place to spend new years day in grey sweats it would have to be in this hamptons house just recently seen in elle decor, designed by robert stilin and photographed by william waldron. doesn’t is just look like a grey sweats kind of house?
