i know it’s valentines day, and i know everyone is going to be doing posts on red or flowers- not me! i’m sticking to fashion and sticking to black and white!
there have been so many great shows this week, besides the collections i posted about yesterday i have loved reed krakoff, rag and bone, 3.1 philip lim, tommy (his new store just opened this week in la), the first part of the ralph show and all the calvin show, but my favorite has to be the grown up collection of proenza schouler.
there was a refinement and elegance to the collection that resonated. the design team of jack and lazaro always bring an edge, an attention to detail and a fresh artistic perspective to each of their collections, however, the fall 2013 collection had something special. i could see jackie onassis and lee radziwill in the clothes, as well as, lauren santo domingo and vanessa traina- young or old, modern or traditional, the collection was timeless and classic, as well as, new and innovative!
loved the silhouettes and fabrics, especially the leather pieces. not just leather but woven leather that looked like ladylike boucle. might i add, i love the bags, the pointy shoes and the feathers! need i mention it again, especially with all the color blocking in every other show- i simply loved all the black and white!
fall 2013 NYFW is wrapping up, next stop london. couldn’t resist ending the week with proenza schouler. p.s. the best show of nyfw.

I totally agree Mark! Proenza Schouler is always one of my most anticipated at nyfw, and they didn’t let us down. also i must note how amazing alexander wang was!! i can’t wait for his balenciaga debut in paris!
those shoes! Wow. Am enjoying the return in the sexy kitten mule, complete with modern sensibility.
