i have had so much fun doing this series of my favorite rooms. in some ways it’s very easy because these are the rooms that i always go back, they always inspire, they’re inviting, also pretty and have become important to me!

when you compile lists like these there is a struggle that takes place in the process. you start over thinking it and you find yourself starting to add in rooms you know other people will like and you add in rooms that you know are important. relax, i caught myself and went right back to the rooms that have the simple formula of pretty and inspirational.

creating favorite lists is very subjective and personal. i’ve been so astounded by the emails, comments, calls and conversations i’ve had about this particular series and list. it seems everyone loves these rooms as much as i do! that makes all the editing and thoughtfulness so worth while!
