what can i say- i love french fashion! not only what’s on the runways, but what’s on the streets! more and more the two are converging and what you see happening inside you are see happening outside. this was never more the case than during the fall 2013 paris fashion week!
What i am seeing is lots of black and navy pant suits, double breasted and pinstriped, longer skirts, tuxedo inspired separates, the continuation of the black leather and fur trends, and thank goodness there are lots of white shirts.
your probably thinking to yourself, “these aren’t trends, they’re classics”- exactly! keep in mind there are lots of other trends and there is lots of crazy street fashion, however, since i’m the editor i get to talk about the ones i like!
and what i really like is the hermès collection, the best in seasons. that look with the white shirt, black skirt and brown leather bomber over the shoulders is chic, chic, chic! something else that is beyond chic is the debut collection of alexander wang for balenciaga- seriously, every piece is perfection!
there is just something about french fashion, not only on the runway, but also on the streets! season after season it remains classic, subtle, effortless, current and spirited. and time after time they remind us the most important thing is not necessarily what you wear, but how you wear it! thank heavens for the french spirit!
