a few months ago i got the book jonathan becker 30 years at vanity fair- the book is fantastic! the intention was to feature the book for sunday book club on oscar sunday. seemed like a great idea because of the immense connection of the oscars and vanity fair. for some reason that didn’t work out, i think it had something to do with oscar fashion,  so now here it is!

your probably familiar with photographer jonathan becker. i have featured his collaborations with brooke de ocampo on the bright young things books a few times, as well as, featuring his amazing photography on profiles i’ve done on Bunny Mellon, valentino, nancy reagan, and bill blass to name a few.

i can’t even imagine the stories he has to tell! what an amazing journey to have photographed for vanity fair magazine for 30 years. that’s what makes this book so fascinating- all the stories!

i’ve been collecting vanity fair for almost 20 years now so i am very familiar with jonathans’s work. even though i have the magazines it’s nice to have all these now iconic images of my favorite celebrities, actors, socialites, fashion designers, artists, politicians, royals, and musicians in one book.
