STARS AND STRIPES TODAY

i went back and forth today on what to post today- it can all be so predictable. i was thinking about doing patriotic street fashion, or red, white and blue interiors, also had the idea to do another post on stripes. then there is always my favorite blue and white ceramics, or festive entertaining, and of course, how about lot’s of american flags?

well, i couldn’t decide, so i decided to do it all with a little of my favorite pieces of art added in.

right now i just can’t get enough of red, white and blue- can you? happy 4th of july- wishing you stars and stripes today! enjoy!

  3. Just last week end took in a local production of “1776” – the musical about the first congress and the days leading up to the signing of the declaration of independence. the performers were all first rate and it really is a beautiful work. it’s left me today with even a greater reverence for our great country and the great and extraordinary men ( are you listening, john adams? ) and the sacrifices they made so that this most fortunate of nations could come into being! lovely post, mark.
