i’m a huge admirer of designer stephen sills. his bedford, new york estate, hi-low farm, is one of my favorite homes of all time. i think i’ve blogged about it three or four times now. town & country magazine just featured these new images by francois halard of the 2,500-square-foot outbuilding- i couldn’t resist visiting it once again!
love the hand-painted ceiling that was inspired by pauline de rothschild’s patterned tile floor at chateau mouton rothschild, love the floors made of canadian marble blocks painted white, love the plaster walls- all a backdrop to beautiful objects. everything is perfectly appointed and showcased, and that pool with the limestone columns- i can’t hardly take it.
the best news is that are going to get to see a lot more of stephen sills work in his new book stephen sills: decoration. more beautiful canvases showcasing perfectly appointed furniture and objects. truly, i can’t think of anything better!
it really doesn’t get any better than this, i’m so happy to have another visit!
