  1. Thank God for instagram. Love all your images.
Happy Birthday and glad you had a wonderful time.

Question, the final picture, that stationery, do you know where it is from, the blue is killing me, I must have it. Any watermark?

  2. all my favorite spots and more!
cute story! (approx 20+ years ago); we stayed at the carlyle shortly after this room was installed; we walked in there; I started stuttering and having a fit!! My husband said……”what on earth is wrong with you??” I was so excited I could hardly speak; just could croak out “renzo!! this has to be renzo!!!” our daughters and my husband had no idea what the hell I was talking about! Finally I calmed down enough to find the manager!

INdeed! Renzo it was! (renzo mongiardino one of my favorites! He explained that “renzo doesn’t leave italy. he and his people painted the whole room in italy by precise measurements; and one of his people came to new york to install it! it was one of his last projects!
Brilliant! (and kinda good for me; they were impressed I recognized his work!!! we are from california)

  3. Mark, great post; leaving the warmth of Honolulu next month to spend the holiday with family and some time in NYC , we’ll be checking out a few of your stops!
