CHRISTMAS GARDEN

it’s been in the 70’s in L.A. pretty much all of december- the sun has been shining and the garden is still completely green!

i’m trying to get into the holiday decorating spirit, but it seems weird to do posts that have snow and traditional holiday decor- i’m not feeling it. it would be a little easier if i had to bundle up in a coat and wrap a scarf around my neck. oh well, i’m not going to complain, i’m just going to embrace the green and sunshine.

i love richard shapiro’s L.A. garden. it was in elle decor about 5 years ago, photographed by my friend miguel flores-vianna, and just recently it was featured in c magazine, photographed by lisa romerein.

there is something about it that feels festive, it somehow signals christmas to me- i think it’s all the red furniture, red and white striped textiles and there is even a red sculpture. i can’t think of a better place to spend the holidays- feels like a christmas garden!

I love the red sculpture from C Magazine. Thank you for your daily posts and giving me something to look forward to every morning over my morning coffee.. You are a gifted curator and have a special eye to sort thru all that is out there and nail it on a daily basis. Wishing you a peaceful holiday surrounded by the ones you love and a prosperous and healthy new year.
