PUNTA CANA CALLING

it seems that all things lately have been leading to punta cana in the dominican republic.

i’m working on several new design projects and i keep going back to some of my favorite homes in punta cana for design inspiration. when i was out shopping last week for clients in L.A. i ran into fabric designers peter fasano and elizabeth hamiliton at hollywood at home. they are also husband and wife. they had just been to punta cana… we sat down and they showed me so many amazing pictures from their trip.

then of course yesterday’s ‘sunday book club’ post on oscar de la renta’s new book, see it here, had me revisiting his magical home in punta cana….it’s been always been a favorite and as you can see it’s always on my inspiration board- see all the things that inspire me on ‘keep it chic’s’ profile on me here.

next week i head to nyc, amongst all the exciting things i’m doing and the all the friends i’ll be seeing, i’ll get to spend some time with bunny williams. she’s such a treasure and as you know she and john rosselli’s home in punta cana is my favorite home of all time….bunny’s book, point of view/ buy here, is never far from my side, actually it’s been sitting on a slipper chair at the side of my bed this past week….. their living room in punta cana is everything, my perfect idea of beauty… a lesson in beauty!

so as you can see…for many reasons, punta cana is calling! here are a few of my favorite homes there- enjoy!

  1. I have a huge pair of vintage white porcelain cockatoo lamps that need to move to Punta Cana. They used to live on Harbour island and are ready to move back to the tropics. Would love to send you a pic. Stella.
