GREEN AND WHITE

i don’t know if it’s because of wimbledon, or even the world cup, what ever the reason…i’ve been inspired by bright green, i think it’s the bright green grass playing fields of both sports. the contrast with the green and white also inspires. all of this visual stimuli has me thinking about all my favorite green and white rooms and green and white gardens.

i love a bright green lawn with a white bench at the end, the contrast of a green ficus wall with enormous white hydrangea’s, green fig ivy on a white house, green boxwood balls surrounded beautifully by white pea gravel….what can i say, i love garden that is bright green and white.

as much as i love a green and white garden, i love a green and white room. whether it be white front porch with green wicker furniture designed by miles redd recently in AD, or that famous green and white latice wall-papered dining room my the great mark hampton

….i’m in love with aerin lauder’s green and white pool house in east hampton, and one of my favorite rooms of all time, the green and white living room of julie frist in southampton by markham roberts that was in house beautiful several years ago ….. i can’t help it, i’m inspired by green and white, especially a room of bright green and white.

maybe because it’s summer, most definitely because of wimbledon, whatever the reason, doesn’t matter if it’s inside or outside, right now and always i’m in love with green and white.

photographs from pinterest, veranda, ad, elle decor and house beautiful.
