In the Mood…

Brightly colored prints have been a mainstay of American fashion at least since 1962. That year, Jackie Kennedy made a goodwill trip to India with her sister Lee Radziwill that was documented with images of the duo in colorful shift dresses amid that country’s lush flowers and bright patterns.
This relationship between beautiful brights and picturesque living translates easily into home design. One of my most enjoyable parts of this color theme is how many different influences can be layered in a single room. I adore the whimsy of paisley upholstery and floral-printed curtains; the intrigue of vintage textiles from afar and the happiness a single saturated color from a flower, a painted wall or a piece of modern art.
The inherent playfulness of this beautiful bring palette invites mixing and matching…or intentionally mixing and clashing! BLUE PHEASANT

I have loved to collect tabletop pieces from my travels around the world. I am always drawn to my favorite color combination – blue and white. So this collection with Blue Pheasant reflects some of my favorite pieces from Portugal and Italy as while as some collected here. Together they layer beautifully and I love the quality and the value!

I just love the color blue, every shade! One of my very favorite shades is robin’s egg. I love how the hint of green gives it a fresh look and always feels like spring. So, of course when I was designing my collection with Hudson Valley Lighting, I had to include it. We call it “Bird Blue” the perfect color for any home.

My collection of rugs with Merida features four styles, made to mix and match. I love them layered over natural fiber rugs. Each style is available in a range of vibrant colorways and sizes. As you know, I love slipper chairs! I love the mix of the smaller scale in a room. I also love rattan, every room needs a piece! The Rattan Lily Slipper Chair, part of my collaboration with Soane Britain are beautifully handmade by their highly skilled craftsmen. The chair is completed with loose cushions and ties upholstered in a beautiful Soane Britain or your own fabric.
