June is the heart of early summer. It’s a time when salty breezes mix with the scent of fresh-cut grass, and the days feel as though they could last forever. Whether it's quiet mornings in the Hamptons or golden afternoons in Newport, East Coast summer is in full swing. The shutters are flung open, big beautiful blue hydrangeas are blooming, and life moves at a gentler pace.
This month, my muse is the ever-iconic Lauren Hutton. With her windswept ease, gap-toothed grin, and tomboy glamour, she captures the spirit of American summer like no one else. Her style is timeless, relaxed, and always right.
My travels this month have taken me up and down the coast — from whitewashed beach cottages in the Hamptons to storied mansions in Newport. Each stop reminds me how summer on the East Coast has its own rhythm: boats bobbing in the harbor, porches wrapped in wicker, wardrobes washed in nautical blues and seaside whites.
My Favorites this month are all about embracing that classic East Coast look: chambray, white denim, natural straw — the kind of pieces that get better with every wear. These pieces evoke the feeling of summer out East — barefoot walks through emerald green grass, strolling around the farmer’s market with a customized canvas totes, and evenings spent outdoors entertaining with friends and family, long after the sun has set.
Speaking of entertaining, my latest collaboration — Mark D. Sikes for HiNote — celebrates the art of beautiful communication. This collection of 12 digital notes feature a palette of coastal blues and sunlit citrus, reflecting my love and deep nostalgia for all-American design. Each note feels both timeless and personal — a blend of classic style and everyday grace that makes even the simplest message feel thoughtful and complete. The perfect invitation for your next dinner party al fresco!
