From Mark's Desk
The beginning of May brings so much hope and joy. I'm lucky to live in Southern California where the sun always shines, but I relish the opportunity to travel the country this time of year and enjoy the change of seasons. It's the feeling of renewal that you get when you smell the lilacs blooming in the Midwest or experience the buzz of Central Park on a warm day that I find so inspiring.
On my desk right now is the verdant scheme for a new project of ours outside of Chicago. In the entryway, dining room, and living room of the home, we've imparted the feeling of spring for our clients to enjoy all year round. The wallcoverings in these spaces really set the tone. We've customized an apple green chinoiserie wallcovering from de Gournay in the entry, wrapped the living room in a muted grasscloth by Phillip Jeffries, and chosen an iconic treillage pattern from Brunschwig & Fils for the dining room. Here's to spring and all that's to come!

More Classics, my new lighting collection, is a continuation of the first collection with Hudson Valley Lighting. It features recurring themes like painted shades and spherical forms infused with a British sensibility for a captivating second act.

I love the texture, scale, and color of Fermoie's textiles. As soon as they release something new, I'm eager to find a place for it in a project!
