Traditional Home Winter 2020

You might recall our last newsletter, celebrating the project published in the current issue of Veranda-- this is another home for the same clients, who have truly become like family through the three homes we've designed for them. We're so thrilled to see this, their Malibu home, featured in the Winter issue of Traditional Home this month! This residence was designed to be a beach retreat, and it is truly inspired by the colors and textures of its coastal surroundings. I brought the beauty of the ocean into the home through a range of blues, from deep sea blues to the calming light seafoam blues found in the Master bedroom. Natural textures such as jute, rope, and seagrass bring in neutral tones of sand and driftwood. This project is also featured in my new book, More Beautiful, as part of the Coastal chapter. Information is below about how you can order a signed copy!

I'd like to use this "Celebrate" section to give thanks to some very special vendors who were instrumental in this project. Of course, every project takes an army, and this list could be 10 times as long, but to these 6 vendors, I want to give an extra special thank you for your help on this, and many projects!

Much of the upholstery in this project is from Lee Industries, including the club chairs you see in the master bedroom. I love their classic silhouettes.

Art, table lamps, fabrics, bowls- what can't we find at Rose Tarlow? We're lucky to be located just down the street from this gorgeous showroom and love to shop here.

It's a joy to work with fabrics and wallpapers from this Italian fabric house. This particular project utilized some beautiful striped wallpapers and neutral prints.

From tile to valves, Waterworks is our go to source for outfitting bathrooms in most of our projects. We love their range of clean, streamlined product.

The blue paisley wallcovering and coordinating fabric seen in the guest bedroom are from Peter Fasano. They have a great variety of prints we love to shop.
