MDS Favorites: March 2025

This month, I’m inspired by the cinematic beauty of Indochine and the mesmerizing allure of The White Lotus 3—where colonial refinement meets the effortless charm of Southeast Asia. Picture the golden light of late afternoons in Thailand or Indonesia, where linen billows in the breeze, wicker and mahogany set the scene, and style is as effortless as it is refined.

My March curation is a tribute to this timeless aesthetic—blue end-on-end shirts with a whisper of nostalgia, perfectly worn-in khakis, airy linen tunics, and intricately patterned batiks. Accessories take center stage: a well-placed pearl necklace, handwoven straw bags, and fedoras that shield from the tropical sun. It’s a wardrobe designed for slow, sun-drenched days, equally suited for sipping tea on a shaded veranda or strolling through a bustling market by the sea.

Inspired by Catherine Deneuve’s quiet glamour in Indochine, this collection embodies the art of understated elegance—where colonial heritage blends seamlessly with the romance of the East. Whether it’s a crisp Nehru-collared shirt, delicate leather slippers, or a timeless woven bag, each piece tells a story of effortless sophistication and well-traveled style.
