Southern Living January/February 2021

When an old college friend reached out for me to decorate her home in Waco, Texas, I jumped at the opportunity to work with her- and boy, did we have a blast! Her one requirement was that I incorporate her many family antiques and heirlooms, which I was more than happy to do. I love that they have so many family heirlooms they live with. It's a wonderful example of surrounding yourself with what you love and how that truly creates happiness and real beauty. This home is a treasure to me because of the family that lives in it and I'm so excited to share it with you through the pages of this month's Southern Living, and a few extra bonus photos just for you!

I had the treat of using one of my favorite Pierre Frey prints, Toile de Nantes, all over one of the bedrooms, and many other fabrics appear in the family spaces.

Striped fabrics, velvet solids, chinoiserie papers, paisleys... Schumacher had some star moments throughout this home, especially in the dining room.

From the striped paper in the entryway, to the bold splashes of color in the bedrooms, Farrow & Ball played a key role in defining the palette of this project.
