Volume V - Wow!house London

Continuing our celebration of fifteen years of rooms we love, we are revisiting a space that set the tone from the very first step inside: the Entry Hall from the WOW!house London, completed in 2023.

This week, I am in England on an estate tour. I spent last week in London sourcing antiques for clients, and being there again brought this project into sharper focus. There is a particular richness to London interiors, a sense of history and collected beauty, that continues to inspire the way I think about rooms like this one.

This room was inspired by Lee Radziwill’s London home, decorated by Renzo Mongiardino, a master of atmosphere and illusion. His interiors were known for their theatricality and layers. That influence guided our approach here, creating a space that feels enveloping and transportive.

Our space was sponsored by Iksel Decorative Arts. We worked with the Iksel team to source gold fabrics and the scenic wallpaper. We used portieres and applied fabric to the ceiling to give the room a tented effect.

This space reflects something we return to often: that even transitional rooms can hold presence and purpose when they are treated with intention, layered with pattern, and grounded in a strong point of view.
