In the fashion industry, this time of year is known as “Pre-Fall” — when the seasons are transitioning from summer to fall. There’s a breeze in the air, the leaves are just beginning to change, and we are starting to think about layering up. This feeling affects our moods, our clothing and, of course, our homes.
For us, this time inspires us to get back to basics, often with classics and neutrals. In fashion, it’s all about classic items like white shirts, denim, trench coats, fine gauge cashmere sweaters, a great saddle brown leather bag, etc. And for interiors, it means a neutral palate and rooms layered with classic things we love — natural fiber rugs, batiks, baskets and Anglo-Indian furniture — always with a touch of blue and white. We embrace this transitional time by celebrating the beauty that is in going back to basics, necessities and classics. We hope to inspire you to do the same!
