From Mark's Desk
It's the most wonderful time of the year! The holidays are a time of gathering and celebration. In this spirit of joy and revelry, we're spotlighting the most festive color of all: red. When I think of red my way, I think about pattern play, unexpected textures, and invigorating hues. Picture wicker furniture paired with ikats, mohair, or embroideries. A heavy dose of glamour that is also casual and comfortable. This year (and every year) I'm loving satin ribbons and amaryllis or paperwhites in terra cotta pots. All that’s missing is a garland on the mantel, a wreath on the door, and a tree in the window with plenty of gifts under it. Cheers!

BEAUTIFUL THINGS
THE LILY COLLECTION
The Lily collection created in collaboration with Soane Britain brings rattan back indoors. The pieces include an armchair whose eye-catching base brings to mind a rippled fabric, a drum table, and a slipper chair in the manner of American style icon Billy Baldwin.
MDS FOR SCHUMACHER
MARK D. SIKES FOR ANNIE SELKE
East Coast meets West Coast in my selection of rugs, bedding, decorative pillows, and more. Choose from stripes, florals, ikats, and embroideries.

Integrity is something I look for in all of the vendors we work with. Merida designs their rugs using natural materials in a sustainable way here in the United States.
HUDSON GRACE
@hudsongracesf
It is this exact time of year when we find ourselves scrambling for last-minute gifts for the holidays. Hudson Grace is chock-full of timeless pieces for the host or hostess in your life.
PIERRE FREY
@lamaisonpierrefrey
Nobody does pattern and color quite like Pierre Frey. As someone who is obsessed with fabric, I find their unique mix of eclecticism and tradition to be unmatched.
BONACINA
@bonacina1889
Bonacina has been designing wicker and rattan furniture of the utmost quality since 1889. I love to work with this historic design house whenever possible. My favorite pieces were designed in collaboration with one of my heroes, Renzo Mongiardino.
NAMAYSAMAY
@namaysamay
Handwoven in Bhutan and Bengal using traditional techniques, fabric from Namay Samay is undoubtedly special. I love their stunning embroideries—perfect for the leading edge of drapery.
